Food was great ... Service was awsome ... This was our first time here and we will for sure come back.

The food is delicious. Not gonna lie i was expecting to be disappointed. But, the food was great! Service was friendly. Only complaints would be that the salsa is plain, needs more spice. And the restaurant overall is very dark.

Wonderful! This was my first time, and I was definitely impressed. First off, they have excellent service. Really nice people. The environment is so relaxing and comfortable as well. The food actually reminded me of my hometown in south Texas which tends to have more authentic Mexican food than you usually find in central Texas. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food... Definitely worth the trip down here. Reminded me of my grandma's home cooked dinners. Margaritas are on point too!

Came here because of all the good reviews. What a disappointment. Nothing that we ordered was authentic Mexican, except the tortillas. (The tortillas are literally the reason I gave it any stars). Food was just your run of the mill, Cisco truck (restaurant supply) frozen junk, nothing homemade or authentic about it. Service was non-existent, we were seated and waited on promptly, then no server in sight until the food arrived, and even then couldn't get refills, ect. My husband literally had to take our glasses to the front counter to get a refill. When we paid, the cashier didn't seem to care about what we had to say about our visit. We will not be back.

The food and service was great. My server paid close attention to anything I needed without being disruptive of our conversation. The food was delicious, fresh, and just as the menu described! I definitely will be back and would recommend to friends and family!

Food was decent. Salsa was good but not great. Steak was chewy. Flaquito was yummy. Service was great!

There was no wait time and the waitress was very quick to take our drink order and bring it to us. The place is nice and clean, our food order came out quickly. The food was great.

Love this place. Never been disappointed. I'd have to say best Mexican food I've ever eatenso far bar none. I'm 64, born in Texas and will die in Texas, don't see any that will best them cause they don't get the chance. Never go anywhere else.

To be honest, Mexican food is not my favorite, but the food was good. The charro beans were really good because they did not have cilantro in them.

One of the best fajitas that I had. The menu has a lot of Tex Mex dishes. It was a great dining experience, because the food was great, excellent service, clean place and the price was right. I’ll come back here when I visit Waco again

I've been here twice now and have enjoyed it both times. The service can be a little slow sometimes but the staff is friendly and the food is always great.

Abuelita's has become one of my favs in Waco! The food is always delicious and the drinks are just as yummy! The owner is always there to greet you and to check on you. Awesome place!

My family and I made a brief stop by from San Antonio, decide to visit Waco, we were thinking on eating at Magnolia Table when we were to arrive to Waco we started looking their menu online and didn't had alot to choose from and over priced.. we love Mexican food so we looked somewhere else that we could enjoy, The Abuelita's had great customer service, the food was delicious at reasonable prices alot to choose from their menu. We even got to talk to the owner of the restaurant, we will definitely stop every time when we pass through Waco.. It is so worth it!

The cheese Chile Relleno was very good, and the house margarita was not bad at all. It wasn't cheap if you add the dessert. Service was very attentive!

It was delicious. Flour tortillas are fresh, green salsa are made with real tomatillos, and the beans are amazing. Service was excellent.

My first visit went well. The food was very good, from a limited menu that I personally found a refreshing change from the phone book sized volumes often presented at many Mexican restaurants. The atmosphere is much more subdued too. Plenty of parking. I deducted one star for the inexperienced young waitress who someone should have spent more time training. Not a deal breaker.

Oh my goodness, this place is truly amazing! I moved from MN to TX and didn’t know where to eat. I stumbled upon this place on complete accident and I am so happy I did. Every single time I’ve been here the food is hot, flavorful, and served quickly. They make everything from scratch and it shows. On the menu they show a snip story of the owners background which is a good read-hard working man and family owned. Also my father has traveled the world and when he came to visit me in TX recently, we came here to eat and even he said it’s the best Mexican food he’s had in the US. As for the outside of the place, it’s kinda easy to miss but on the inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s causal but you could totally do a date night here too. Margaritas are strong and tasty! During the work week their lunch deals are a great value too.

We ate here for the first time by our friends recommendations. I had the crispy tacos plate with rice, & beans, my friend had the carne asada, with beans & rice, both were delicious with plenty left over to take home with us. Will be going back soon.

Family owned and operated. Their homemade salsa is wonderful! Their Fajitas, enchiladas & chili relleno are the best in Waco! I'm from Waco so I have tried alot of Mexican food restaurants. This is my favorite!

Food was amazing. The shrimp with cilantro creme sauce was delicious. Don't even get me started on the margaritas. They should definitely win margarita of the year. One of the best margaritas I've ever tasted.

The wait staff was helpful, but did not know the products/menu well. The food was good, average for TexMex in central Texas.
